Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Baitlist (“the Service”), operated by Dennis Petri (“we”, “us”). By using Baitlist, you agree to these terms.

1. What Baitlist does

Baitlist is a waitlist management tool. You create waitlists, share signup links, and we score each signup’s intent using AI. High-intent signups surface to the top. You decide who gets access.

2. Accounts

• You need an account to create waitlists. We authenticate via magic link — no passwords.
• You’re responsible for keeping your email account secure, since it’s your only login method.
• One person or organization per account. Don’t share access.

3. Plans & billing

• Starter (Free) — 50 scored signups per month, 1 waitlist, hosted signup page.
• Pro (€29/month) — 1,000 scored signups per month, unlimited waitlists, priority support.
• Signup limits reset on the 1st of each month.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe’s terms.
• You can cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of your billing period.
• We don’t offer refunds for partial months, but if something goes wrong, email us and we’ll make it right.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Baitlist to:

• Collect data for spam, phishing, or unsolicited marketing
• Harvest email addresses for resale
• Create waitlists for illegal products or services
• Submit fake or automated signups to manipulate scores
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the scoring system
• Overload the service with automated requests

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Your data

• You own your data. Waitlist signups, responses, and scores belong to you (the waitlist owner).
• We store and process your data only to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
• You can export your data (CSV) or delete it at any time from the dashboard.
• If you delete your account, we delete all associated waitlists, signups, and profile data within 30 days.

6. Signup data & consent

As a waitlist owner, you’re responsible for ensuring your signups know their data is being collected and scored. By sharing a Baitlist signup link, you represent that you have the right to collect that data and that your use complies with applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, if applicable).

7. Intent scoring

• Scores are generated by AI and are advisory — they’re a signal, not a guarantee.
• We don’t guarantee score accuracy or consistency across different types of products.
• Final admission decisions are always yours.

8. Availability & liability

• We aim for high uptime but don’t guarantee 100% availability.
• The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
• Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the past 12 months.
• We’re not liable for decisions you make based on intent scores, missed signups, or data loss beyond our reasonable control.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
